During the Holocaust, families were often faced with packing up a few belongings to accompany them on a frightful journey to an unknown destination. Inspired by the Violins of Hope, students reflect upon material culture to consider what stories everyday belongings tell about the human experience. The resulting found-object assemblages reveal the communicative and inspiring qualities of personal items.
