About the Event

Romantics are often introspective individuals, and the same can be said for composers of this era. Whether presented on a grand scale with fanfare and bluster or offered in a subdued and contemplative manner, the text-painting techniques of the Romantic period are as unique as each individual composer. Therefore, we will be observing, discussing, and comparing the storytelling styles of three separate composers: Franz Liszt, Robert Schumann, and Edvard Grieg. FREE; no kit needed.

“Sheltering in place” just got more creative! Scottsdale Arts’ Memory Lounge: Home Visits program brings professional artists and creative activities to you, twice each month, during the pandemic. It is a program for people living with dementia and their care partners, and it is also a creative aging program open to others interested in joining in!
