To consider sustainability is to treat the earth like we intend to stay, and every individual plays a role in this endeavor. In this residency, students will collaborate in small groups to demonstrate the three pillars of sustainability through the art form of tableau, a frozen picture. Heidi Cocco—a language arts, social studies, and second language educator—draws on students’ collaborative and kinesthetic learning to integrate the arts and curriculum. The strategy can be used cross-curricular and at different grade levels.
