MEMORY LOUNGE: Nature Shapes with Clay

About the Event
Leaves are ubiquitous, humble constructs of the natural world. They come in myriad shapes and sizes, and no two are exactly the same. A single leaf can symbolize stillness, solitude, growth, change. It also has the ability to evoke a memory of time and place, a moment from childhood, or one’s connection with nature.
To imprint is to mark a surface by physically pressing something into it, or to fix an image or thought firmly into memory. This workshop uses air-dry clay to create objects that explore personal narratives and metaphors inspired by leaves and the memories they may hold. It focuses on meditative processes and techniques like imprinting and hand building to investigate shape, form, pattern, and color. Order kit: $10 for one, $15 for two delivered to the same address. Please register by July 26.
