Exhibition Details

What goes into running an arts organization when you aren’t looking? You may have attended performances with amazing sound quality, smooth transitions, and friendly front-of-house staff. Or maybe you’ve seen clean museum exhibitions accompanied by engaging and thought-provoking programs. You may have seen captivating large-scale artworks throughout the Scottsdale area. Your children may have seen an artist come to their classroom to teach math through the art of dance.

These offerings are all products the Scottsdale Arts team and their tireless efforts. We have dedicated our careers to providing high-quality arts to Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area. While we do often partner with local, national, and international artists to make this happen, many do not realize there are talented professional artists working behind the scenes of the operations. After Hours highlights the hard-working staff artists who coordinate innovative arts experiences by day and create amazing original artwork by night.

With works in fiber, photography, creative writing, and music, After Hours showcases the diverse perspectives that inform and drive the daily work of our organization. Can you see any of their creative influences in our performances, exhibitions, or programs?  Whether staff creates work for a living or a hobby, Scottsdale Arts would not be what it is today without their relentless drive and ingenuity.

ArtReach Space

The ArtReach Space is a community gallery that showcases work in response to social issues and concerns and also offers a window into Scottsdale Arts and City of Scottsdale art programs. The ArtReach Space is located across from Stage 2 in Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 East Second Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. It is open to the public daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and during evening performances.
