Experience what a painting might sound like or what sounds could look like. Seven visual artworks by six different artists are interpretively translated into sound works by graduate students at Arizona State University in the School of Music and the School of Arts, Media and Engineering. i hear what you’re seeing is an experiential exhibition, meant to bring sight and sound together to heighten art’s inherent quality of conveying a mood, telling a story, and igniting the imagination.
Featured visual artists: Laura Spalding Best, Bill Dambrova, Cam DeCaussin, Monica Martinez, Lara Plecas, and Ellen Wagener.
Featured sound artists: Devin Arne, Shomit Barua, Laura Brackney, Andrew Robinson, Jacob Smith, and Gina Xu

Center Space
Center Space is a community space designed for visitors to learn about the arts. Each fall and spring exhibition will feature activities for you to explore your creativity. We hope you will visit and spend time finding the artist in you!
Center Space is located inside Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 East Second Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. It is open to the public Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon – 5 p.m.; and during evening performances.
